Dear Friends of Flavor,

Ah, 3 day weekends, don't you love 'em ~ and shouldn't we have one every month?  

We hope this finds you taking a break for yourself and doing something out of your normal routine ~ maybe planning or going to a Mardi Gras party!  Come and 'party' with us this Thursday for a great outing.  These are the wines we will be serving this week:

2009 Clos Du Val Chardonnay, Carneros, Napa Valley.  Aromas of pear, white peach and apricot, with tropical fruit flavors and a touch of citrus, and a lingering, crisp finish. The citrusy acidity will complement the Sauteed Dungeness Crab Cake Served with a Salsa Di Vino Bianco, and finished with Fine Herbs.

2009 Hook & Ladder Pinot Noir.  This spicy, Estate Bottled Russian River Valley Pinot will enhance the flavors of the Petite Saffron Risotto topped with Oven Roasted Porcini Mushrooms served in a Garlic~Herb Jus.  The light berry flavor accented with vanilla, leads to a crisp finish of lingering cherry.  The grapes for this wine are sustainably grown and made into wine on the property of retired San Francisco fireman, Cecil DeLoach.

2007 St.Francis Merlot, Sonoma County.  Produced and grown exclusively in Sonoma County. The majority of the grapes come from the winery's estate vineyard.  With dark cherry, plum, cola, caramel and sage nuances, this smooth red will go especially well with the Roast Duck Breast garnished with a Petite Sweet Potato Souffle flavored with a Trio of Cheeses and Glazed Winter Vegetables served in a Salsa Alla Salvia

Taylor Fladgate 10 Year Old Tawny Port. Douro Valley, Portugal.  Aromas of ripe berry fruit with a delicate nuttiness and subtle mellow notes of chocolate, butterscotch and oak.  Smooth and silky on the palate just like the luscious Creme Brulee garnished with Grappa Soaked Currants and served with Flaky Sugar Cookies.

Note: Our Wine Pairing Dinners are open to everyone, (21 and over), who enjoys fine food and wine. Each thoughtfully plated course is accompanied by a wine which encourages you to savor each and every bite. You will end the evening having had a wonderful epicurean experience with new friends and acquaintances.

We all sit down together promptly at 7:00 pm every Thursday. We request the first and last names of those in your party so that we can arrange seating together and facilitate the check-out process.

Should you want to add guests to your party or need to cancel your reservation, we ask that you please contact us directly by this email address or telephone, as calling and leaving a message at the restaurant, (Flavor Bistro), may cause unnecessary confusion and/or delay.

Our Wine Merchants Dinners celebrate the variety of wines available To-Go at Flavor Bistro. All wines poured receive special pricing so that you may continue the fun and research at home.
